Born in New York, Kevin Lynch started his music journey with the piano at the age of 5. Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from William Paterson University of New Jersey in 2012, Kevin is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies at Berklee College of Music.
In 2012, Kevin assumed the role of staff accompanist at The Juilliard School, vocal coaching and preparing dance students for auditions in professional Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regional theatre, and collegiate settings. He has music directed, performed, accompanied, and coached a plethora of performers and artists throughout New York, New Jersey, and Florida. He has had the honor of collaborating with notable figures such as Darren Criss (Glee) and Kristin Chenoweth (the original "Glinda" in Wicked). His roles have extended to serving as a music director and conductor at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, Centenary Stage Company, StageWorks, and a piano accompanist for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Kevin's multifaceted talents in musical theatre is evident in his roles across professional and regional stages. He served as music director and transcriber for The Wise Women at 54 Below, music director, pianist, transcriber and orchestrator for Savage the Musical in the 2019 NYMF, the orchestrator for Boundless the Musical, and transcriber, arranger, and music copyist for Fred: the Musical.
As a writer, he composed the score for the 2020 production of Stephen Temperley’s A Christmas Carol at Centenary Stage Company and has released a symphonic demo album. Kevin composed and mixed Equal Opportunity (2023) and Hard Feelings (2022), both directed by the talented Rick-kendy Noziere, Nothing Left (2021; dir. Bill Wilusz) and Verified (2021; dir. Lauren Moran Mills).
Kevin's won Best Original Score for Hard Feelings at the NJ Film Awards (2022), received the Outstanding Musical Direction accolade at the NJACT Perry Awards (2014), Outstanding Musician, Legacy Scholar, and Cum Laude Latin honors at William Paterson University of New Jersey (2012). He was nominated for Best Music Direction at the Metro Awards (2019) for his work in Chicago.
Premiering in New York City in July 2019, his one-act play NEXT marked a significant milestone. Continuously dedicated to fostering inspiration, Kevin is in a perpetual state of development, crafting fresh works to uplift and motivate others through his art. Additionally, he took on the character "Eddie" in the comedy short film Awakening Arlene (2019). With an ongoing commitment to creativity, Kevin is actively involved in the development of new original musicals, aiming to instill encouragement and inspiration in audiences through his artistic endeavors.
